Financial Ombudsman Service predicts it will receive over 37,000 fraud and scams complaints next year

We have published our Plans and Budget for 2023/24. These plans set out our focus for the next financial year and incorporate feedback from stakeholders following consultation.

We also published our half-yearly figures showing the number of complaints received about individual financial businesses and the uphold rates.
Following our recent consultation on proposed changes to how we report business-specific complaints data, our Feedback Statement is now available on our website. A similar initiative in November 2021 led to around 100 businesses making 7,000 offers to resolve complaints more quickly.
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has confirmed an increase to our award limits from 1 April. Our award limit is the maximum amount we can require a financial business to pay when we uphold complaints. Find out more about our award limits on our website.
