Financial Ombudsman Service sets ambitious targets for case resolution in 2025/26

We will address significant demand and improve the efficiency of our case resolution processes, according to plans for the year ahead published today.
The Financial Ombudsman Service is today announcing the appointment of Owen Brace as Director of Communications.
Owen will lead the Communications function at the Financial Ombudsman Service, overseeing the development, implementation and evaluation of the internal and external communications strategies for the Financial Ombudsman.
Having started his career in journalism, Owen brings a wealth of communications and media experience, working in senior communications roles in central government over the last 15 years.
Owen currently works as Director of Communications and Digital Publishing at the Office for National Statistics.

Owen will join the Financial Ombudsman Service in July 2023.
The Financial Ombudsman Service was set up by Parliament to resolve individual complaints between financial businesses and their customers on a fair and reasonable basis, as an alternative to the courts. It can look into problems involving most types of money matters. It is committed to sharing insight and experience to encourage fairness and confidence in financial services.
