Financial Ombudsman Service sets ambitious targets for case resolution in 2025/26

We will address significant demand and improve the efficiency of our case resolution processes, according to plans for the year ahead published today.
Today we’ve published data showing number of complaints we received between 1 October and 31 December 2020. We have also published data showing how many complaints we received about individual businesses between July and December 2020.
We received 112,845 enquiries and 72,498 complaints in this time. We upheld 28% of complaints we received.

We’ve also published our latest quarterly data showing the number of complaints we’ve received and resolved about claims management companies (CMCs).

From 1 April 2025, professional representatives will be charged £250 to refer a case to our service due to our new charging regime.
