We want to support our people in understanding the communities we work in and serve. Our partnership with the East London Business Alliance gives our people the opportunity to be involved in skills-based volunteering.
Working with external networks and partners in this way helps us to better understand the needs of our customers – and improves awareness of our service within communities who are currently under-represented among the people who contact us.
Our employees volunteer with local communities. They help to deliver aspiration-raising programmes for local young people, CV support sessions for local people who are long-term unemployed, as well as team challenges in local schools, hospices and community spaces.
Our people also support a number of UK registered charities through our payroll giving and “pennies” schemes. We’ve supported a number of charity partners over the past three years – voted for by our employees – including Richard House Children’s Hospice, Macmillan and Alzheimer’s UK. For 2015 to 2017, our charity partner is Haven House Children’s Hospice.
We can provide information about our service in different formats and languages.
