does the ombudsman publish any statistics and feedback on complaints and complaints-handling trends?

Yes. Our annual review includes all kinds of facts and figures about our work and the complaints we receive. It covers the financial year (from April to March) and is published in June each year. We also publish a range of statistics each January, in our annual corporate plan & budget.

Our regular newsletter, ombudsman news, includes case studies and feedback on recent complaints.
